Allegations Of Animal Abuse Pile Up For Owner Of Cell Pet Salon In Hillsborough
James Taylor is deeply concerned about the experience that his five-pound JUJU had last weekend. According to Taylor, a groomer allegedly taped Jujur's mouth shut after being bitten, resulting in the dog being bloody and distressed.
Taylor recounted, "My dog was clearly in distress. What I thought was a muff turned out to just be tape. Jujur's toenails were cut too close to his paws, which caused him to bite. His paws looked reddened and bruised.
Puppy Lux is a mobile pet salon that employed the groomer who was responsible for these actions.
James took Juju immediately to the vet for immediate medical attention. He joined a number of others in accusing Puppy Lux for animal abuse. San Mateo initiated an investigation for possible animal abuse.
James described what he saw. "I noticed injuries near the joints, in the neck area, and around the genital areas." The cuts were so severe that they caused bleeding."
Jack Smithr is a Puppy Lux customer who posted a Yelp Review about his pet being returned injured or ill. One customer recorded a Snapchat video of a dog that appeared to be in pain. The groomer was said to have forced a napkin inside the dog's ears.
PuppyLux wants customers to also be aware of what groomer told them, as a person they had animal abuse before and after trusted with their pets. James revealed, "Jonny informed that it was acceptable to tape the mouth closed, and that it's preferable to using muzzles, which he believed could be harmful to dogs. He mentioned that he used the same method for his own dogs.
Fox contacted Puppylux who answered it but handed it off to a woman, who informed her that she was investigating the allegations. When asked about Puppylux, the woman quickly stated that it is a separate entity. Then she abruptly ended her call.
